PRIVACY
Built around respect.
MakerRest is designed to help creators build a public home for their work without selling their personal information or audience data. This policy describes key ways we handle account, content and audience information. See our Terms for creator copyright and content-licence rights.
Public content you choose to share
You choose what appears on your published Passport, including your name, biography, uploaded Work, Projects, media and links. Published pages may be viewed without an account and may be discovered, shared, indexed or cached by search engines. Pausing a Passport hides it on MakerRest but cannot remove screenshots, search caches or copies other people have already saved.
Account and service information
We process your email address, a securely hashed password and account settings to operate and protect your account. We also record account, security, publication, follow, save, view, share and link-click activity to run the service, identify technical issues and show creators useful results. Hosting, email and analytics providers may process the information necessary to deliver these functions on MakerRest's behalf. We do not sell personal information, creator artwork or creator audience data.
Uploaded media may be stored, served and technically resized or formatted to make selected MakerRest features work. We do not use creator uploads to train generative AI models or authorise unrelated advertising or commercial exploitation without separate permission, as described in the Terms.
Audience tools
When someone opts in to a creator's audience updates, we store their email address, consent time and the creator they subscribed to. The creator can export their current subscriber list, and subscribers can unsubscribe using the link in the confirmation email.
Deleting your account and uploaded work
You can remove individual published Work and Projects using the relevant creator tools, pause your public Passport, or delete your account from your dashboard. Account deletion removes the associated Passport, Work, Projects, Vault files and related account data from our active database. It is not a promise that independently downloaded images or search-engine copies will vanish.
Some data may remain temporarily in routine system backups until those backups are replaced under the applicable retention schedule. Limited records may also need to be kept where justified for security, disputes or legal obligations. Backup copies are not made available for new public use. We review retention needs and handle valid personal-data erasure requests in line with applicable law. For questions about backup retention, specific records or an erasure request, contact us using the address below.
Unverified accounts are restricted after seven days until their email address is confirmed.
Your questions and requests
For privacy, access, correction or deletion requests, contact makerrest@gmail.com. We will assess the request under applicable data-protection law. This policy is part of our early-access documentation and may be updated as the service develops.
